Gwinnett County offices will be closed for President's Day.

All Gwinnett County government offices, with the exception of those operations required for the comfort and safety of residents, will be closed Feb. 18 for the Presidents’ Day holiday. County offices will resume normal business hours on Feb. 19. A Magistrate Court judge will be available at the Gwinnett County Detention Center during the holiday. Presidents’ Day is not a trash and recycling holiday for solid waste providers in unincorporated Gwinnett County, so trash and recycling collections are scheduled as normal. The Gwinnett County Solid Waste and Recycling Call Center will be closed that day, but hauler call centers will be open. It will be a long weekend for Gwinnett County Public Schools students. School will be closed Friday, Feb. 15 and Mon. Feb. 18, President's Day. Neither students nor teachers report to class. These days were originally scheduled as this school year's first snow make-up days. However, the district has not had to close because of bad weather. Upcoming Days to Remember Feb. 25 - 26: These are early release days for kindergarten through eighth grade. Classes are ending early for parent-teacher conferences. March 11: This is a student holiday, and a planned furlough day for school employees. March 29: This is the next snow make-up day. Teachers and students will be out that day if there are no weather cancellations until then.
