Gwinnett County Public Schools released SAT scores for the Class of 2012, the sixth class to take the new version of the SAT, which features a writing section. Once again, Gwinnett test-takers topped state and national averages on all sections (critical reading, math, and writing) of the test. Parkview was third in Gwinnett among cluster high schools. It had an average of 1587, behind Brookwood (1614) and North Gwinnett (1595). Parkview SAT-takers topped the county average by 85 points.
Parkview High School seniors' 2011 SAT scores exceeded county, state and national averages, according to data recently released by Gwinnett County Public Schools. Parkview test-takers had an average composite score of 1596, 85 points above the Gwinnett County average of 1511. Countywide, test-takers scored higher than the national and Georgia averages of 1500 and 1445, respectively. District participation has increased 29.2 percent in the last two years. Overall, though, SAT scores declined at local, state and natioanal levels, GCPS said in a press release.
