Construction Begins on New Sprig Restaurant in Old Town Lilburn

The owners currently are taking name suggestions for the new restaurant.

Construction has started for a new restaurant in Old Town Lilburn, as the owners of a Decatur-area eatery move closer to a spring opening. Sprig Restaurant owners Anthony and Jennifer Tiberia have agreed to locate a new restaurant in the space previously occupied by the Blue Rooster Café & Bakery on Main Street. The owners have said that the biggest draw was the feel of the neighborhood. Construction officially started March 13, and the owners expect renovations to  cost about $400,000, Anthony Tiberia said. Construction should be complete within two months, he added. And, the target date for opening is June 1. "So far so good," Tiberia said. "Avoiding any unforeseen issues we should be on schedule." Sprig Restaurant Owners Eyeing Former Blue Rooster Spot in Old Town Lilburn

Another possible deal for the old Blue Rooster Cafe location has emerged.

The owners of a Decatur-area restaurant are strongly considering opening a second location in the building formerly occupied by Blue Rooster Café & Bakery. Patch recently learned from Anthony and Jennifer Tiberia, who run Sprig restaurant on Lavista Road, that the duo is the newest contender in an ongoing quest to fill the vacant spot in Old Town Lilburn. "We definitely want to," said Anthony Tiberia. "We love the space." I am so glad that a Restaurant may be coming back to Old Town Lilburn. I work and live in Lilburn and it is greatly needed. The Sprig sounds like the perfect one.   more ›
