News Nearby: Police Believe Man Stabbed Girlfriend, Then Shot Himself in Head

The incident took place at 1:15 a.m. Sunday in unincorporated Snellville.

Police believe a man stabbed his girlfriend, then shot himself in the head after an apparent argument early Sunday morning in unincorporated Snellville. The woman, who was stabbed in the back, survived the attack, but the man died, according to a media alert emailed by Gwinnett Police Cpl. Michele Pihera. “The death of the male is being investigated as a suicide. The female is not a suspect in his death,” Pihera reported. The incident occurred after midnight Sunday morning, May 12, in the 3800 block of White Pine Road, near the intersection of Centerville Rosebud Road and Lenna Drive. Woman Stabbed to Death in Gwinnett Home

Gwinnett Police say the 64-year-old woman's car was found in a parking lot at Sugarloaf Mills Mall.

Update: 8:18 p.m., Nov. 24: Arrests have been made in this case. A woman was reportedly killed in her home outside the Lawrenceville city limits late Wednesday night, November 21. At about 10:45 pm, Gwinnett County Police were called to a home at 1403 Alamein Drive in unincorporated Lawrenceville. When they arrived, officers found a woman dead from multiple stab wounds. The victim was identified as Parviz Moledina, 64. According to police, Moledina lived alone. Gwinnett Police Cpl. Jake Smith said the woman's car, a silver 2007 Volvo station wagon, was missing from the home.  Early Thanksgiving morning, GCPD officers found Moledina's car in a parking lot at Sugarloaf Mills Mall, formerly Discover Mills Mall.
