This holiday, let's all thank our law enforcement officers for dealing with this stuff.
It's holiday season, but that doesn't slow down unusual criminal behavior. Snatching, shouting and shooting continue. A man asked another man if he could borrow his bike at a Sonic drive-in in unincorporated Norcross. The bike owner said yes, and now there's a new bike owner. A television has a new owner after it was swiped from a church in Bogart. Somebody forced a door open at Bogart Christian Church and made off with a flat-screen TV. Another man in Norcross succeeded in a snatching, but he didn't get the bag he wanted. When he demanded a woman's purse, she gave him her lunchbox instead. So there is such a thing as a free lunch. An Athens employee found something he didn't like in his lunch -- a trace of cleaning agent in his water …

According to police reports, the homeowner told officers he was upset over the expense of his water bill and was using the fire hydrant so it would not cost him any more money to fill his pool. The homeowner did not have a permit to use the hydrant and told officers the water had been running for about two hours, filling his pool up with around two feet of water. The homeowner was arrested for theft by taking and was …

Don't mess with a man's cheeseburger in North Georgia and more strange police news.
1. A man learned the hard way that you can't exchange your half-eaten double cheeseburger for a McDouble at the Winder McDonald's. When he tried, police said, he used a lot of profanity, upsetting employees and customers. So he was charged with disorderly conduct. 2. Also in Winder, a man reported a rack of ribs stolen after a domestic dispute with his girlfriend. The melee also resulted in missing liquor, smeared beans and broken eyeglasses. 3. A domestic dispute in Dacula led to a man's claim that the woman who used to live with him has been stealing his mail since he threatened to evict her. She's also alleged to have called him a "bad person." 4. A silver pitcher, a China plate and some coins were among the missing items after a family…

A clothes change didn't work for this would-be thief.
At around 2:00 on June 27th, Lilburn Police were dispatched to WalMart for another theft. When confronted, the suspect began to walk back into WalMart with the Loss Prevention Agent, but then turned and ran out of the store towards the IHOP. He was then seen getting into a red Dodge Neon. Within moments, Lilburn Police spotted a car matching the description and pulled it over. The gentleman sitting in the back seat matched the physical description but was wearing a white t…

According to a Gwinnett Police incident report, the girl had just completed swimming lessons when she saw that her backpack and all of its contents were stolen from the girls locker room. The stolen items included her cell phone and $5 in cash. The mother arrived at the center and told police she had tried to call the daughter’s cell phone to tell her she was coming to pick her up, but there was no answer. A word of warning to the thousands of people who will enjoy the three pools at the aquatic center this summer: Have fun, but secure your stuff. The aquatic center has plenty of lockers, but they don’t come with locks. The Gwinnett County Police …
