Want a chance to stand on the pitcher's mound at Turner Field? A Gas South contest is offering those who enter a chance at throwing the first pitch at the Atlanta Braves' Sept. 26 game against the Philadelphia Phillies. To enter, you must go to Gas South's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/gassouth and fill out the online entry form. The winner will receive the opportunity at the first pitch as well as four tickets to the game. The Berkmar Marching Band reaches third round of WSB-TV's online contest.
The Berkmar High School marching band wants to play at Turner Field and you can help. The 55-member Marching Patriot Corps has made it to Round 3 of WSB-TV's "Who Has The Best High School Band In Georgia?" online contest. By clicking and watching a video of the band's Motown-themed program — click here to view the video and vote — you will cast a vote for Berkmar. Deadline for Round 3 voting is noon Dec. 3. The video is 10 minutes long, but you don't have to watch it all for your vote to be counted. You can hit refresh to cast additional votes.
