Inside Police Reports: Credit Card Fraud Discovered

Lilburn woman had her card used for online purchases from Walmart.

A Lilburn woman was alerted by her credit card company about fraud on her account earlier this month. On May 10, the Gregg Drive resident told police that she had received an email from Bank of America stating that her account had been suspended. Lilburn Police Department Looking for Suspect in Credit Card Case

Police asks public for help in locating suspect.

Lilburn Police are looking for a man suspected of making purchases with a stolen credit card at the Walmart store on Lawrenceville Highway. Deputy Chief Bruce Hedley said the suspect used a credit card  with a re-encoded number that matches one belonging to a St. Louis resident. The card also was used recently at a Duluth Kroger, Hedley said. Hedley asks for the public assistance in finding the suspect. Anyone with information should call Det. Jeff Kinney at 770-638-2182.
