Traditionally, the higher the jackpot payout in a lottery, the more people are prepared to share in the pot. With nobody winning since June 23, the Powerball Jackpot drawing for Wednesay now sits at $305 million, according to the Powerball Lottery website. This has a cash option payout of $203.3 million, before taxes. The drawing will be on Wednesday, Aug. 15 and the cost of a ticket is $2. Will you buy a ticket now that the payout is more than $300 million? With a cash payout to a single winner of $203.5 million, what would you do with the money if you had the lucky ticket?
