About George
First and foremost I'm a husband and a father. I'm also a Ph.D. candidate in English at Emory University, I compete in olympic distance triathlons, and I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with my family.
I'm also a Mormon, which is why I've started writing articles about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and our beliefs. There are a lot of misconceptions about the Mormon faith and now that Governor Romney is running for president I get questions about what "we" believe all the time. The most bizarre so far: "Do Mormons eat pizza?"
I'll be answering questions and writing a little about what Mormons believe, what makes us similar to other Christian religions and what makes us a little bit different. I'm also keeping this blog local, so I'll be writing about Mormons within the boundaries of our own great county.
I hope you'll learn more about the LDS church and feel free to comment and ask me questions about my faith and the articles I write.
Feel free to check out my mormon.org profile, too: http://mormon.org/me/3C2C
