Cash, Cigarettes Taken in Walmart Gas Station Robbery

The incident occurred at the Murphy USA off Lawrenceville Highway last Saturday.

A gas station near Walmart in Lilburn was robbed last Saturday (July 6). 

According to the Lilburn Police report, the incident occurred at the Murphy USA at 3950 Lawrenceville Hwy. in front of Walmart before midnight. 

The clerk of the miniature gas station told authorities that the male suspect went into the store, asked for two cigars and then pulled out a black pistol. 

He demanded the money from the cash register and pulled out two gallon-sized plastic zip bags for the funds. The victim complied, filling the bags with cash, and the man put the pistol away. He never pointed the weapon at the victim. 

The suspect fled on foot with the cash and two packs of cigarettes. 

Authorities searched the area but could not find a suspect. 

Lilburn Police are looking for a black male who's 5'7", approximately 150 pounds and in his mid 30s. He was wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, black jeans and a black durag on his head.
