Man Admits to Public Indecency at Lilburn Walmart

A woman called police after she saw him in his car in the store's parking lot.

A man was arrested last week in connection to a public indecency call in a Walmart parking lot in Lilburn.

According to the Lilburn Police report, authorities were called out to the 4004 Highway 29 store Monday last week (July 8) around 3:51 p.m. A woman had reported seeing the man, 41-year-old Lawrenceville resident Yusuf Garuba, touching himself in his car.

Still in his vehicle in the parking lot, the suspect first told officers that he wasn't doing anything in the car; he was simply waiting for his wife to get off work.

The officer then pointed out that the cameras at the top of the store could see what was happening inside vehicles. The policeman continued to say that there were children in the parking lot and they didn't need to see what he was doing.

Garuba said he was sorry for what he did. He also changed his story from before and said he was in the parking lot to pick up his son from daycare off Beaver Ruin Road.

Garuba was arrested and charged with public indecency and hold for immigration.
